Why aren't you going to dyno it with your intake? I have no clue what you'll make but I'll guess 672 hp/621tq.

652 TQ and 695 HP (but HP number depends on what you're willing to rev it to).

No matter what it makes -- it is killer (on paper) and I hope it works even better than your best laid plans!

I guessed your 454 motor on the button last time. I'll say 675 hp and 630 tq.

This is an insanely killer motor, please upgrade it down the road so you can sell it to me

To a point.. if the cam/valvetrain is "done" by 6200 then it won't matter how high we spin it (which is why a solid would have made more..)

I will just be happy if it runs nice.. I already have plenty of power, but it's fun to speculate.

True enough Steve. When I just dyno'd the 406.. we discussed what RPM to go with. My thought was "my tranny shifts about 6000 rpms... so why go beyond that". So that's what we tested to. In fact, when we were discussing the build - we talked about a rev kit etc and I said - nah - I'm not revving it to the moon so why bother. I wanted TORQUE the rest will take care of itself.

Not to hijack Steve's thread Greg but I have that answer. It's nice to be able to rev past redline in racing. I used to hit the rev limiter constantly with my old engine and 6k redline. My new one peaks at 6200 but I rev it to 6800 safely. I rarely hit the redline.

Huh?

Are you talking throttle body? If so then it's because most dynos, including this one can't run TBW stuff yet.

Once in the car will be chassis dyno tested to see what the car makes, but that's a different topic all together
