Thank you.

I'm not much of a vinyl top fan but on this car it doesn't bother me.....much.

It those pics the car has about 10 gal. of fuel. The rear springs are very stiff so 5 gals/40 lbs isn't going to drop it much. I'm thinking .5" is money, .25 acceptable. The challenge is how to safely obtain that .5".

You can run a 1-1/2 block and you'll be fine. Dave (flash68) has 2" blocks and runs the car hard. Just make sure your blocks have the locating pin/hole in them

just change out the rear suspension with your "Present Plan"........... and it's all good.
if it was mine i woud go 1/2 to 3/4 front and back.

Thanks guys, I've had her in the closet for over 10 years, it feels good to get her out in public again.

Luke,

Thanks, I can get solid blocks of rem material cut locally and install locating pins.

What about the stock 7/16" dia U-bolt vs stepping up to 1/2"? I'm assuming bigger is better in this case. I have new DSE Shock Plates, they are for 7/16 u-bolts, enlarging the holes to accept 1/2" shouldn't cause a problem?
