The higher the intake port, the less of a bend there is going into the cylinder. Anytime you can lessen the transition between the valve seat and combustion chamber/cylinder, you'll get more airlfow and less tumble.


That's a simplification of it anyway...


Intake selection will vary. Some heads/marques have matching intakes, some require welding and grinding of existing intakes, some require sheetmetal intakes.
