Red Witch
Car is now about 10 years old and could use some freshening up. Stielow had a couple ideas so I sent it to him. Engine is at Wheel to Wheel. It was a 532" but now about 565". Here are a few engine shots. I have owned alot of cars over the years but this one is probably my favorite. It is not as trick as some of the others but it just looks, sits and rides right. There is nothing like big block torque. Car doesn't care what gear you are in. I'm a ****ty drag racer and even I ran 12.15 @119 starting out in 2nd gear. I can't wait till it's done. This is the car that led me down the road to ruin because after I bought it I met Stielow and it has been Hell since.

Oooohhhh, this means my next ride in it should be even more fun.
Engine looks great (going to keep the Gen VI controller or upgrade?)-- what's on tap for the rest of the car, or is that a trade secret? I liked it rather well the way it was... pretty much a no-nonsense, go fast machine.

Probably Big Stuff3. The car will look and sit the same. Just a basic sanitizing. No secret trick stuff.

BS3 will be cool. I figured that would be one of the upgrades while it was out.
Who did the intake? W2W?
Also, I can't quite make out the logos, but are those CarbonComponents valve covers? I thought those guys dropped off the face of the earth. I bought some of their stuff a while back, FANTASTIC quality and designed properly. I was going to pick up a set of their valvecovers but I can't get a hold of them anymore and their website is down. Dave Wilbur (I think that was his name-- been about 2 years) was a great guy to deal with and really knew his stuff, ex-Lockheed guy. If he's still making stuff, that's good news.

That's a hot lookin engine there! I'm glad to see the Red Witch getting some love, although I would have thought you needed a rest after the Mule upgrades. Will there be any additional chassis reinforcement required for the new-found torque? Still 315's out back?

Wow, 10 Years! The Red Witch just doesnt come off as a car built so long ago as it still is innovative and timeless with styling too. But that is cool it is getting a facelift!

Charley,
I like the direction. Modernizing the engine but keeping the package basically the same, just a complete freshening. Cool car!
