My DD: A VortecMax, 367hp L76 with VVT and DOD. Does awesome 4 wheel drifts in the Minnesota winter - once the traction control and stabilitrak are turned off.

Bring that truck to Minnesota and we'll do some racing on the ice covered backroads. Just be sure to turn the Stabilitrak off, these trucks get really pissed off when you back them in the corners in 4WD with the Stabilitrak on.

Did not know that.

I was thinking, a year from now, your son will be able to teach you a thing or two about having fun in the snow.

Every day driving and abuse, right about 16mpg. It gets almost exactly what my last truck with a 5.3 got for mileage, the DOD, or active fuel management, helps make up the difference in the larger displacement. It's by far the best truck I've ever owned.
