Default Ok, here is my new 1 mile/drag strip project..

A lot of you know I have been running my buddy Chris/Boost Logics' Supra at the drag strip and the 1 mile, I got the bug.. Chris is done running his car so I decided to have him build one for me just to drag race and run the one mile. I didn't want to cut up my white hardtop, so I bought my old black hardtop back. I owned it about 5 years ago. It's a '95 blk blk hardtop one of 18 brought over in '95. When I owned it before, I had 9 sec cage done and a chute, so all I need to do is have the rest of the cage finished. After that, we will get the motor done, clutch and upgrade the fuel system. I hope it will be faster that the silver car, we shall see. My goals are to run 8.20-30's at the drag strip and 235-240 mph at the 1 mile..Here are a few pics I took today after working on the paint and detailing all week..

SW

SW, saw your post at Supraforums. Congrats on getting the hardtop back! That car was always meant to live in your garage. I'm confident you and Chris can break all kinds of records with the old girl.

Twin-turbo Vipers in the "Race" class can't hang with full-weight Supras in the "Street" class. Did Toyota build one hell of a car, or what? God bless that little, itty-bitty 3.0L I6...

Glad you got your old hardtop back. I remember when you built a while back and then just sold it...

SW -

The black one just looks "meaner". Plus it fits the other red & black machines floating around your driveway.

You are gonna need an airplane hanger to store all this stuff.

Very Nice.

You're livin' the life. I like to see people just enjoying the hell out of themselves - you appear to be doing exactly that.

Keep us posted!

SW,
You need to quit messing around with those heavy tanks and let me build you an Ultima or the upcoming Schwartz Supercar. LOL
