That's awesome John! I hope this Challenger venture you and Chris have been working on goes far beyond what you guys would have hoped for. You really deserve it and I can't wait to see it in Nov! Great job....and of course, killer renderings!

that rendering looks awesome to me... it is amazing how well the "new" design matches the orig car and of all the retro styles it really fits that old T/A scheme very well.

Too bad there wasn't an 18" 3pc Minilite copy out there for it to complete the theme... (at least I am not aware of any such copy).

You can get the 3 piece wheels in 17", 18" & 19" dia & up to 12" wide from these people, that'd look cool

Thanks guys! We're very excited about this and Sam Posey has been super to work with. This car is basically the G5/R with a T/A hood and scoop. The front chin spoiler will have some sort of quick release system so that it can be easily removed for street use and put back on quickly at the track using little to no tools. The big front fabbed spoiler will attach onto the lower chin that is integrated into the custom G5 fascia. If you look at pics of the lower front on the SRT8 Roadster, it's basically like that. We are still waiting for the production cars to hit and are poised to get our hands on one or two. Pretty much all of our sponsors we have worked with in the past are 100% on board along with a few new ones so we haven't nailed down all of the specifics as far as details yet. Our first choice for wheels on the Posey G5 Challenger was a set of Fikse wheels. Jim and the guys at Fikse were phenominal to work with last year on the Pantera GT5 show car. More details to come on this car in the next few weeks. The new website design is well underway and will be up soon and we will be able keep updates fresh on all upcoming G5 Challenger models and concepts.

We sent a copy of the latest issue of MCG with the G5 Challenger Feature to Sam Posey along with our proposal to work with him through our friend and contact with Sam, Dicken Wear. Sam reviewed the article and pics of the proposed Posey G5 Challenger and here was his comments relayed to us...

Dear Dicken,

I've been swamped with stuff, and it isn't until right now that I've really taken a look at what you're up to.
FANTASTIC!!! The way it combines the old and the new is skillful and dynamic. The result is spectacular.
The '70 Challenger was maybe a little too big... to carry out the lines they wound up with alot of car. The new one, I think suffers from being a bit stubby...But your version is perfect.

Keep me in the loop!
Sam

I can't wait to work with Mr. Posey on this!

interesting, I saw a European Vette race car with what I now bet are those wheels. I figured they cut a Minilite center out and added halves... wonder if those are available in the US?
