Default Almost to paint with the 66 coupe

the body is done and straight as a arrow

here it is in polyester waiting for block sanding
did this step twice two coatds of polyester then blocked with 180 followed by 320

once that was doneand the waves were gone we put it in 2k primer and blocked twice using 180 then 320

then we painted it with epoxy sealer to seal the paint and wet sanded that with 320 then 500 grit and its done waiting for paint

heres a idea of how straight it is this is just the already sanded epoxy sealer wet no clear etc

love that body style without the drip rails

the nose has been fited and will be primed sealed and wet sanded

should start disasembly and painting the door jams next couple days will be painted by next weekend

I like the lip on the deck lid. To me is finishes the rear and doesn't just fall off.

I'm not a painter. I am just curious as to why you are doing the jambs last?

Default just trying to save money but doing it right

did it all myself in the back of my performance shop with a friend whos a painter.

ill still have 4500 in materials in the whole thing plus the rental of the booth and paying my painter friend 500 bucks to shoot the car

But it is a dam site cheaper then the 15-20 k it would cost to have a job like this done by a big name shop.
