There are some really beautiful kandy colours out there, they're ideal for show cars/trailer queens, but I'd not recommend them to a customer if the car was to be used on a regular basis as it really is a nightmare to blend in & match if it were to get scratched or dented. It seems REALLY odd that the guy is gonna give the paintjob a lifetime guarantee & is probably unheard of in the business. i'd really want to know why he's prepared to do this & if he intends to use any "get out" clauses. To be honest I really would be very wary of someone offering that sort of deal, just sounds too good to be true. Maybe he thinks that he'll recoup money/fame/fortune from doing the job, but you can bet your bottom dollar that after the initial exposure he gets & after painting the car a coupla times, he's not gonna want to do it.Just think,it could cost him a paintjob every few years or so to keep it looking right, multiply that by the life of the car, what...10-15 years +, he's into a whole load of hurt, plus in the meantime he could go outta business anyway. I think you'd be better off with one of the new pearl finshes & if it ever goes tits up at least any good bodyshop would repair it for you, HTH
