Mobil 1 in the car since 3k miles and and any dirt cheap 10w30 in the 77 pickup. the lawn eqipment and snowblowers get what is handy. The snowblower pulls easier and starts better with mobil 1 when it is below zero but it uses a bit more.

my 89 Camaro with the 2.8 would not crank over in the winter one year very good at -10 with standard 10w30 in it so I put Mobil 1 in and it would sing and start right up at -25, so it was worth it using some just to get it to start. It was the cheapest vehicle on gas at the time with 24 miles to the gallon cruising and 19mpg in town. now it sits and waits for a transformation to become a real Camaro someday.

Shieffer oil is supposed to be the same good ole oil it used to be and a lot of the racing crowd in town use it specifically with good results. It's a bit expensive but they like it.

If you have a flat tappet cam talk to your cam manufactorer and take there advise. The API ratings on oil are no longer reverse compatible. They will state otherwise but don't beleive them. The cam shaft manufactorers have seen a hugh increase in warranty claims due to cams going flat and there research brings it back to the oil and it's additive package. The tree huggers and emmission standards have caused the new oil to have additives removed that protect your flat tappet cams(EP additives like Zinc & Phosphorus). Google "cam shaft failures oil additives" and start reading. Rotella use to be CI rated but is now CJ rated and not as good for flat tappet cams.

Alisyn Prodrive.

Manufactured by Aerospace Lubricants. One of the first to manufacture a Zero weight racing oil. The spec sheet is posted on the website.

http://www.aerospacelubricants.com

search Prodrive 21.

It is used by several NASCAR teams, IRL teams, SCCA, IMSA, etc etc. Learned about if from a friend that was an engineer on a Cart/Champcar team.
