Cool....the cobb webs are falling off now and I am remembering what/why we did what we did when we set up the long 9" ...


Yes, I believe mine was 60" (drum brake) - and I had built 2 3/4" wooden test spacers to mount the rear C5 rims to the car.

Since the LS1 rotors are about 1/4" thick at the hub, we cut the 9" at 55" hub to hub - making it 55.5 overall with the discs on....

Okay...this makes me feel better now. I don't have a stock axle to compare and I dropped the 9" at the speedshop yesterday to put it to a stock width - which will be 60" in this case when he takes 2.5" off each side.
