Black with flat black stripes or any color with same color flat stripes would be cool.

Blue with white is killer. The black with red would be my 2nd choice. Awesome work, John.

Thumbs up

GREAT JOB with the renderings!!!
I'll take one of each,....please??!?!? But seriously, I like them all with the black stripe. The black is killer with the red stripe, the silver is killer with the black stripe and the hugger orange is killer with the black or white stripe, depending on interior!!!
Now, like someone else had stated, I would like to see a black with flat black stripes!!
Again, great job on the renderings.

Thanks guys. It's the original yellow rendering with some trick photoshopping...is that a word? LOL!

Ben I did play with some silver stripes a little but after 9 versions and it getting late I needed to get SOME sleep. I will be doing 2 more tonite...Stefano and Dennis want to see a black with white stripes and a red jewel with white stripes. I even tried a couple stripe combos ...like a white stinger and black side stripe or even a black stinger on the silver with a red side stripe was pretty cool.

I may do a Fathom Green version with white stripes and see how that looks. Probably my favorite GM color ever. If I had to pick any GM Muscle car to have in my garage...It'd be a 1969 Yenko Camaro in fathom Green Metallic with White Stripes. Man that just looks killer. I've been to Milt Robson's place a few times and he has an original one there never been repainted or restored just like what I want.

I did mention to Dennis that there was a strong consensus to keep the bowtie in the grill. I don't think Dennis and Stefano had a chance to really sit down and hash out a lot of the details on this stuff yet but I agree the bowtie should be in the grill too.

I'll tell you one thing, your SS (hockey stripe) is much better than the ones I've seen that are forced below that side marker and have an awkward shape.

The one thing I see with doing a Black with white stripe is the contrast, it becomes very graphic. Maybe a 15-20% gray or something...I dunno. I'm working on some 2010 Camaro stuff right now also.

Yeah I know Ben...they do get to crazy looking then all they offer up is that they look different with black and white. "Purple and yellow polka dot crap is different but it's still crap" That's a quote from Steve Moye my automotive styling instructor back in college. I remember him saying that to the guy behind me LOL! I almost lost it when I heard it but true.

I remember Dennis asking me about the side stripe that I would need to draw on the Nickey Camaro. We talked about the existing one that we've seen on the GM concepts. I said to him "We're not doing anything like that stripe, to me it looks like a big PORK CHOP or side burns on the sides of the new Camaro...." They look hideous in my honest opinion. Again with the "different". See quote above.

I went with what you see on the current drawing. I had already sketched that stripe like that when I did the 5th Gen Camaro rendering what-ifs for PHR magazine and everybody thought they looked good and clean. So I stuck with that on the Nickey car. I will be helping Stefano and Dennis do the final 1:1 side stripe graphic artwork for their production cars. I can't wait to see one done!

We do have a Black with White and Black houndstooth Stage II on order right now. It will be one of the first few built.

If we go with a Bowtie on the Grill, should it be Gold / color as standard or Blue for a retro styling que?

BTW, Great work John!
