Default Big Red Camaro

I have only just come across this nifty little website.... Has some nice pics and flash intro etc, very well done.

I particularly like this link, where you can play around with a 3d model of the car.

Oh yeah, nasty crash they had, dont look at those pics, it'll make you sad.

I like it. It's amazing how much effort was required to load the wreck into the trailer.

No doubt, Steve. I think they needed a sawz-all.

Wow, if that does not convince you that a full roll cage, fire system (although looks like they didn't need it), and HANS device should be standard fare for high speed driving, well, you need help.

220 MPH, and no "real" aero, these guys are far more brave than I. Bitchin' car.

Yeah me too. Gottlieb won Silver State in the REBUILT "BIG RED" in '88. And he was 17 at the time. I have the magazine somewhere still.

I don't think they rebuilt it. If memory serves me (lol, I know), they started with another car that they built into Big Red as we know it now.

Probably right, seems as though the first car was basically a modified '69 where the second car was basically a NASCAR chassis with a Camaro body. I seem to suffer from CRS anymore.
