Question LSx 454. Opinions?

I did try a search and nothing about an LSx 454 came up.
Does anyone have any opinions/facts or dealings with the new crate LSx 454 engine that GM is releasing? I did a little reading on it and it seems like a stout motor as far as going N/A, which is the way I want to go. I know it is not aluminium, so the weight is an issue.
Just wondering what you guys/gals think of it. THANKS in advance.

What are your thoughts/opnions on the LSx 454 since you have one?
Is your set up carb or F/I? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

GM is goin to release 454LSX 620 EFI crate motor soon. Its based on iron LSX block and aluminium cylinderheads close to LS7s with 6 head bolts / cylinder. Intake is LS7 . GMs test car run 10.80 with it

I like it. Its the price that jumped at me. 12-15k. But its a very good short block as well. You could spray it as well, but you lose the warrenty. speaking of warrenty. 2 yr/24000 miles on a 620 hp crate motor.. not bad.

Its a very bad motor. i'm going to wait until I hurt my LS1 and then look real close at it, or someone elses.

We can do carb or injected we can set you up a complete package with warrenty you can pick the brand of parts you want from crank to heads and we can price you out a package. See our stuff is very close in price to the crate motor stuff but you get the extra bling like valve covers etc in our stuff...

I just got that block in the shop.. the short deck.

We are thinking of going with a 440 build though. I need to research the wall thickness if bored out to a 454. I would rather sacrifice some displacement for better longevity.
