Default 2009 crate ls7 changes

I just took delivery of a new crate ls7 and they told me it has a new throttlebody design for 09 and pin outs may be different among other slight changes. Does anyone have any detail info regarding these changes?

Thanks Rich

Rich, I finally took a few minutes to look at my 2006 LS7 schematic, and the pin out for the throttle body:

Pin A - Brown
Pin B - Yellow
Pin C - Tan/White
Pin D - Dark Green
Pin E - Lt Blue/Black
Pin F - Purple

That may or may not help you, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

If you could find the 2009 schematic, you'd know for sure. Do you know someone who has access to Mitchell Repair online?

Scott,

Thanks for the pin/color code designation, I will check it out. I have John at Speartech , looking in to it for me as well. If John doesn't see any issues I will have him make up the necessary harnesses and ECU.The Katech torquer cam/springs and retainers is on the way and most likely a set of lemons headers. Do you think the 2" primarys and 3-1/2" collectors is too much?

We will also receive a new 09 LS7 tomorrow here at the shop. We are getting our TB and ECM from Street and Performance this week. Going into a 66 vert corvette with SRIII chassis.

The gm performance parts catalog say you need P/N 19243066 to run the 2009 ls7 P/N 19166567 is for 2006-2008 ls7. They must have made some significant changes

Spoke with GMPP when we ordered our engine (via Karl's Performance Parts) and they do not have the ECM available yet and don't have any info on when it will be available. They dumped a bunch of the software engineers in recent cuts and the new ecm programming for a crate motor is not high priority for the few programmers they retained. Street and Performance has engineered their own coding to match the new LS7 and are loading that into the ECM so we can deliver this car.

Ive been speaking with John Spears at speartech, he thinks the changes are minor. Map sensor should be the same as the new ls3 and he will be testing a throttlebody from an 09 vette next week. Im hoping its simple, Johns pretty good with that kind of stuff
