Default Barret Jackson "American Heros" 69 Camaro

Was anyone watching Barret Jackson last night? I try not too since it seems so unreal anymore--but then I can't help myself.

The project "American Heros" Camaro sold---for $500,000.

It was for a great cause and it was neat to see that those bidding understood this and took it that high. Was hard to believe what I was seeing. Hats off to Super Chevy (I believe) that got this done for the men and women who serve on the front lines.

On a side note, it cetainly makes Jeff Hansons car (at $135k) the bargain of the year

Saw it in person today. I was disappointed in general fit though. Don't look at things like the hood (or doors or windows, or....). Maybe I don't know the whole story.

Still a great looking car and a great cause and I think much of my nitpicking could be easily fixed. I thought the subtle flag was awesome though.

That was awesome how the Camaro brought $500,000. I saw it out at Scottsdale in January on display, very sweet ride.

Must be a good "write off" or something the rich folks need.

I have been told by several panel fitment on that car is not good, and the hood is so bad you can tell in the magazine shoot photos. Donations are the game when you can buy a car and write it off as a donation for what ever dollar figure your tax accountant says it needs to be. All things aside, a good cause.

It's nice to see that whether people believe in the war or not, our troops are being supported. I remember learning in school how Vietnam vets were treated when they returned......sickening to say the least. Hopefully karma has or will deal with those idiots. I'm glad that to the best of my knowledge our troops returning from Iraq/Afghanistan are not being subjected to that kind of behavior.
