Why does it seem everyone has no time to do something right but they have time to do it twice????
wow....that had to be scary as hell for the guy. Glad he walked away.
I haven't run my car on the strip because I'm afraid of not knowing what to do if the car gets squirreley like that. I feel much better on a road course.
That's a tough hit there! I am glad he is ok.
I saw a guy do something similar at Pacific up here in Seattle a couple years ago. He didn't walk away. He got to take a first class flight to Harborview Hospital Trauma Unit. He didn't have his harness on when he hit the gas. I spoke to a friend of his the next day and found out he was going to be ok, it turns out he was so excited to get down the track (it was his third ever run) that he simply forgot to put it on. His spotter didn't catch it either.
Safety equipment only works when you use it. His helmet and cage saved his life.
That was a pretty rough hit. It's definitely good news to hea that the driver was alright.
