charger or gtx are both awesome options... with the newer car you're just gonna have a b!tch of a time getting an illegal smog check, and dealing with stupid stuff all day. would make a ton more sense to put it in an old car.

and on top of that, the classics never go out of style.

my vote would be to do a pro touring 09 charger, like one lap or penny... clean and no BS, and not a part on the car that didnt serve a purpose. With the TT viper engine let the cars performance speak for itself.. im sure it would knock on the 250 mph barrier at bonneville or do 200 at the texas mile if you built it light enough and the grip was there...

And honestly, screw what turns heads at sema... show up with the salt still on the doors, smelling of 116 octane and a timeslip that said 250+mph..

i looks like you're in luck then, because this is essentially what we are doing. the turbos are on hold for the time being, but we are in the midst of building a fully forged 8.5L viper v10 to stuff into an '07 charger.

as of right now, the car is completly gutted and we are starting the fab work on the cage and suspension.

once i get some pictures loaded up, i'll start a build thread to show you guys the progress.

Here's some pics of a GTX with viper engine, this is on our Schwartz chassis. We did this one for Hennessy.
