Default Valve cover vents?

I've noticed that some guys (like on the Mule) use an -AN fitting and hose instead of a standard vent, I like this a lot as it keeps the top of the motor from appearing cluttered.

My question is, where are the lines going? To the exhaust? Is there any cons to doing this and what, other that looks, are the pros?

They're plumbed to a remote resovoir and I like that clean look, too. It's something that I'll probably be doing as well.

Tony, it's basically just a catch can with a breather added.

Default breather

i would say a remote breather is a must if running forced induction i use to always have problems with the oil comming out of the breathers and getting my engine all nasty.
