OK. All this talk about the Baddest 68 Camaro in the UNIVERSE got me to search. Here is the top 68 Camaro image that came up.

Now, If you just search Baddest 68 Camaro (without Universe), you will see Steve's car on the top row.

I love this car, cause it's a big block!
And it seems to perform pretty well!
I knew I was forgetting one.. yea, that would be on my "baddest 68 Camaro" list

What other "cool" 68s are out there? Velocity over at Ridetech is pretty badass.. I know I'm missing some.

I would run against this car.. after all I have nothing to lose. lol

If I win it's "Hey, I beat a million $$$$ Camaro!"
If I lose then it's "Hey, what do you expect, the guy had a million $$$$ Camaro!"

I'd still be bringing a trowel to a gunfight, and loving every minute of it. Thanks for the invite James. Put some blue tape over your windwings and we'll count yours as a '68 too. Just let us know when and where!

To each his own on builds like this. The fabrication and ideas on this project are great. Even if there are things that you don't like, there are lots of cool ideas that we could find ways to incorporate. Are there things I would change? Yes, but that may not fit what the owner of this car wanted. Sometimes appearances are forced to change or be out of sync due to the drivetrain requirements of the car.

And I could invite someone like Boris Said to drive all the cars just to make it fair... (I lost the Stig's number)...

Awesome, thats the answer I was looking for!

This car had me at "All aluminum BBC dry sump". I choose to overlook the hideous wing because of this.

It's definitely has the right moves to make it the baddest.

I'd like to know the aerodynamic specs. It might be the only first gen to not produce front lift.

But Greg, Just to be clear 50/50 has come a million miles from the abortion that some body put under that car however many years ago. That particular chassis ranks high on a whole other list of mine.
lots build from square. just about every trans am car is more square tube(main chassis rails etc) then round, also Lg's gt cars have alot of square in them as well.
it maybe uneeded weight, but there are limits to amount of lead etc that can be used, and weight can be good when its used in the middle of the car low to the ground between the wheels.

As to the fuel cell being offset to the pass. side, I don't see a big problem with that, since the intent may be to offset the effect of driver position/weight. Plus the oil tank is next to it so the combined weight of the two may be pretty well centered on the car, anyway.

The wing is indeed hideous looking, but may be quite functional depending on the intended use of the car. Full belly pan, QC rear, etc...the intent of the build sure seems to be to do some sustained high speed running, as in 200+....of course he will need the right tires for that but he may have them for all we know.

It would indeed be great if the builder/owner could get on here and explain his intentions for the car. Quite an impressive build.
