Thanks for the reply Scott, Rick, and Rich. DSE says the tank on that build is 15 1/2". I will say, they went out of their way to help with this. I've decided to send the lower part of the tank back to have shortened. I should have a couple of inches of space below the fender to grab the cap. It's positioned far enough into the bay that I can look down in the tank to see the oil level. At the bottom, it'll be close to the same level as the bottom of the frame rail. Then just to be safe, I'll probably add an oil cooler, if nothing else to bring the capacity back up.

I'll post some picks after I get it back and installed.
