I know a shop that builds/ships cars overseas pretty much and never heard him comment on issues of import/registration. Although thats the customers expense not the shops so he can see why I here no negatives from the shop Im talking about.

to answer your question we now have to pay 18% customs, and 25 % sales tax... (of the value of the car) AND a registration fee and on a mustang like that you could propably get by with 10K registration fee.. so its close to 50k as of jan1. this year....
