You can purchase thermal sleeves for your spark plug boots. Here is one example from Thermo Tec. Some are metal some are braided material.

A quick search on Summit Racing will bring up several brands and styles for you to choose what will work best

Yep, something like that or simple fiberglass boot protectors you can find at Jegs or Summit. If your headers aren't ceramic coated that would also cut down on heat.
