I am a bit confused on this. Why would the plenum be necessary? Wouldn't 8 individual throttles provide better throttle response? I ask because all of the factory cars I know of, Ferrari, my M5, etc that use individual throttles do not use a common plenum.

Bill --- I have no idea buddy!

All I do know is that with the common plenum in the Inglese intake - I have plenty of vacuum for the items that need it. BTW -- Just so there's no confusion -- the plenum is not like a carb plenum -- there's no common area for the intake side -- just for creating a vacuum source. Otherwise each TB has it's own runner. Make sense?

My only "update" is that the rear end has been ordered from Kugel -- and the appropriate deposit sent to SAR... so work should be cranking up here shortly if not started already.

I was reading the threads on the "full floater" rear ends - ala Matt and Gonzo... and I was chuckling to myself. I'm not sure what those bad boys run - and I'm certain they're expensive - but a fully chromed out "show" rear end like the one I just ordered is an OMG! Worse - it won't improve handling one dang bit!

Oh well.... it's "hot rodding" right?!

Yeah -- figured that - the rear end is a major component for what we're doing and it just now got ordered - and is 4 to 6 weeks out... no point in tearing the car apart quite yet.

Greg are you changing the ride height at all? I know tire size is being changed. Did you order the wheels yet? How bout the coffee holder?

Well -- good questions -- it's a highboy -- think there's a reason for that name... A low boy would have the body channeled over the frame giving a lower look.

Wheels are going to be 20's rear and 17's front. And we're doing 215/50/17s and 295/45/20's BFG KDAs is the thinking right now.

I wanted more rake - nose down... but that will have to be done with wheel/tire size selection since we don't have adjustments for coil over mounts etc. Actually on these style cars - you want the ass in the air - so you can see that extremely expensive rear end I just bought! LOL

My buddy Stans 32 sits lower and looks lower sitting next to mine in this photo. His car was a "great 8 Riddler" in 1994 and runs all torsion bar suspension front and back (pretty high tech stuff in '94). He's running an IRS as well, but I don't think I can get down there.

I wanted one built in a console type deal - but he said NO. So have to go with what the pros know. I'll just buy a plastic beanbag jobbie at Fred Meyer I guess... and then toss it in the trunk when not in use.
