Default I took my life in my hands for these pictures !

They got the rest of the plywood on the roof today. I also had them put my Velux sun tunnel flashing in so the roofers can finnish the rest of the roofing tomorrow. It was a beautiful day so I took a little flight to get these pictures.

If you notice any shaking its me not the lift. lol

Here's the crew building the garage.

Here's an idea how it looked from up there. This is the highest point in the city.

Those houses are three deckers. I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling looking at that gutter on that house.

Keep us posted on the sun tunnels. I've heard good things about them and I'm curious what you think.

Default Sun Tunnels

Scott; My sister inlaw has one in her bathroom. Every time I leave the room I try to shut the light off ,but its not on. They give plenty of light. She has the 10" in there I put three 14" in the garage I hope with those and the two windows will give good enough light during the day for general stuff in there.

They finnished the roof Monday and put the domes on the sun tunnels to make the roof weather tight. The only thing left for them to do is the porch and siding, then the rest is up to me and it will slow down quite a bit.

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Started the valley

Here they are finnishing up the roof

The windows went in and their goint to work out well. The bottom of the window is about chest hieght. I didn't noticed that the locks are connected when you lock the bottom it locks the top at the same time. Which is good the top is out of my reach.

The man door went in.

Heres an obstructed picture of the roof

The're starting on the porch and getting ready for the siding. I'm waitng for some triangle gable end vents that I ordered last Friday.

The sun tunnels work great! I have been on a few jobs with them and during daylight hours there is no need to turn on the lights in most cases!

Thanks.
Thanks guys its flying now It might be done next week if all goes well..

Today they installed the A/C sleve in the back wall. He also trimmed out the front soffit area. Then he started the vinyl on the side and back.

Here are some pictures of the vinyl going on.

Trimmed out with the AZEK and vinyl corners.

Here is the A/C sleve. I know it looks low but the heat will be above it. and inside the floor is lower than the outside grade. Sorry for the shaky pictures.

They also started the front porch. There's a 4" deep 12x12 footing for the PT 6x6 . The weight from the roof is on the wall not on the 6x6 so all it will hold is the porch itself. They are putting a 8" sonotube for the bottom of the stairs. Here are some pictures.

Here is a picture of the roof with the two sun tunnels on it.

Very nice Wayne. Those guys are really moving on that garage, huh? Built just in time for the snow.
