Default Utah Residents! Utah Bill To Ban Aftermarket Exhaust?

First off I am a lurker (hence the extremely low post count. Also I do not personally own anything close to Pro-Touring. I actually joined this site awhile ago because of the incredible builds and inspiring fabrication work. To try and justify my presence there are the following in the family...

Uncle: '69 Camaro Z28, blue with white rally strips on rally sport wheels hosting a supercharged LT1
Fourth Generation (I forget which year) pro-street Dodge Dart (raced at Winterport Dragway as "Bad Co")
Other Uncle: '70 Ford Torino Cobra, work in progress; recently out of the paint shop read for a twin-turbo small block
Dad: '60 Volkswagen Beetle, Black ragtop Cal-Looker on silver Porsche Mahles with a fuel injected 1776cc (managed with an SDS system) backed by a Gene Berg 5-speed. A lot of one off stuff on this car as my Dad is a wild fabricator (he cast/machined the throttle bodies for the fuel injection system). Other things off the top of my head; 2" narrowed front beam, four-wheel disc (Ghia front/914 rear) and so on.

As for myself I'm kind of into a niche group of cars but I'll save that for the future. Someday, when I am done with school and settled I'd like to build several cars including a '63 Beetle and a '67 (or '68) Mustang fastback.

Now for the actual topic...

I am a resident of southern Maine. After some frequent issues with local law enforcement over my daily drivers exhaust system (as well as the outburst of articles for "hot rodders rights" in almost every automotive magazine last month) I began checking up with the 'SEMA SAN' and 'Car Initiative' sites more frequently. This popped up and I thought it would be of great interest for any Utah members (or members of any region really).

To learn more about your areas check out the following home pages:

Car Initiative: http://www.carinitiative.com/#
SEMA Action Network: http://www.semasan.com/main/main.asp.../HomePage/url]

I suppose this would qualify as my introductory post here on Lateral-G. Hopefully in the future I can participate more in this great community!
