Default p1336 crank relearn question

2000 LS1 in a 70 nova. Getting P1336 code. Car seems to run fine but have feeling something is not quite right. Local dealer will do the crank relearn for me but I'm concerned about the tech II scanner messing up my flashed ecm. Is that a concern? Is the crank relearn necessary?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The car "shouldn't"run any different after the relearn. It will just be able to determine individual cylinder miss fires.
