BTW, I'm much closer to the lower end of that poll as i am a union worker.
The first thing the OP did was make an ASSumption. That set the tone for the whole thread.

"It seems to me that there are alot of "wealthy" people on Lat-G."

I'm still waiting for his explanation of wealth.

I'm a regular blue collar, hourly wage earner just like the vast majority of the members of this site. I'm on-call for 3,300 hours per year beyond the 2,000 hours a year I work (24/7, every other week). I apply my skill set to do side jobs to help offset costs of car parts.

Jealousy will always drive those that are unwilling to work hard and can't be self motivated.

I think this poll brings to light the fact that our hobby brings together people with a common love for cars. It doesn't matter if you work overtime and bust your ass to put together a home built street car or write a check to fill your garage with pro built dream cars. Not sure you can say the same for too many other hobbies. Build it, buy it, drive it, race it or show it....whatever makes you happy!

I want to know the range of wealth on lat g.

You do not have to comment so that you can remain anonymous, just take the poll.

If you would like let us know what you do for a living.
Seems like most are taking this a bit personal and this guy pushed some buttons that pissed a few off. I dont take questions like this personally especially from people I dont know and I cant comment on what type of person this OP is because I dont know him/her. Is the OP a jealous person? Who knows. My assumption is that the OP is still a young grasshopper if you will.

To the OP: Its none of your business and not tactful to ask what other people make and what they do for a living especially when you dont know them.

To assume people have alot of money just by looking at the cars on this particular site was wrong. There are alot of folks here that spend countless years building their dream car. Within those years freinds are made. You trade favors, help each other out, and if you are an honest, hard working person, and continue this cycle reaching your goals will be easier and very rewarding.

Remember, yes the destination in this hobby is rewarding, but it's the journey that makes it fun.

Sure, the op is guilty of being , uh, less than tactful. But to go off and be indignant about what some see as just an innocent inquiry, well, I'm just saying give the guy a break.
