Well I finally got the front end mounted ! And as you might guess it was another battle. The right fender went on prtty much no problem . The left side was another story the front edge of the fender had a severe drop. After a couple of days I finally MADE it sit right! It's still not 100% but Troy will have no problem adjust the little more thats needed . I also will have to make new rocker panels . The aftermarket ones I installed are a complete disaster. But It does feel good to see it on four wheels thats for sure! I still have a long way to go but it has come a long way... I had a very interesting conversation with Cris (JCG) yesterday and he almost had me talked into a new direction with this project. I thought long and hard and I'm going to stay the course with this build but its still going to have alot of JCG influence I can tell you that!! 50 degress today felt good to get it out side!!

Mario, looks good! These aftermarket panels will fight us all the way. How did you fix the drooping fender?

Looking good Mario looks like you could fit a steam roller back there, is that a mock up rear or the real deal? What width flange to flange, I know you got Mikes big bigger biggest inner wheel houses. Im jones'n to see that beast from the back with the fatty's on it.

You can't imagine the language coming from Mario's shop, most of it was mine.

Ron I had to take about 7/16 of an inch out of the corner of the core support . That was the hieght difference from side to side , It made it better but still wasn't where it needed to be . So after about the 20th time taking it on and off the light bulb went off, hey dummy install the extensions and the lower valance!! It pushed it up the little extra It needed . Its just a tiny bit off now but Troy has to cut and slice the area any way for all the header and hood gaps. Then it will be perfect... I work with 3mm cars all day you can't cheat these cars. I get caught up doing the same with this car only thing is close enough was good enough for these cars back then and if it was't good shim it till it was!

Dude a few little tweaks and that sucker is ready to go! Keep at it and stay positive brother. It's going to drive you nutz now, but it's going to be SO AWESOME when it's done....and when it is, you and I are taking the cars out for a cruise!
