Wow it looks awesome even without paint. I'm interested in why the yellow tape too.

the yellow tape is made for use on metal and leaves less residue when removed. not sure about time durability.

Vince is correct on the tape. It is less sticky and leaves less residue when removed after time. It is also quite a bit cheaper. No difference on thickness or durability though.

The cross member is 4.5" off the ground. The car is slammed, but has plenty of ground clearance. The front cross member is the lowest point on the car.
