Does anyone (besides Dove) cast an aluminum TP head?
Ford made some AL TP castings but good luck finding them and have a pile of $$ ready.

Two companies make AL SOHC heads and Blue thunder, Pond, Shelby, Edelbrock, Dove all cast Med riser style heads but only Dove does the TP. Plan on a lot of epoxy with the Dove stuff.

The Iron castings I got were really nice and the guy had the Dominator intake so I jumped on them. If I wanted to drop a bunch more $$ on filling the floors of the exhaust I could be looking at a 800+hp mill. At some point I needed to say the motor was enough and put the cash into the chassis.

Thanks Ron. I really appreciate the kind words about my ugly duckling. I was at Fab Fords @ Knotts today, 1800 cars, half of them mutangs and a total of three Torino fastbacks.

And that Mach you built a couple years ago is beautiful. In HS back in the 80s I had a 69 Firebird with Herb adams bars, Global West arms,WS^ steering box, 16x8 Ronals with Gatorbacks and a Poncho with a muncie. Torquey motor just like the FE super fun.

The only thing I'd say is that cam is a little knarly for low rpm cruising in overdrive. I run a 252/260 @ .050. 110 LSA Good low end torque but it pulls to 6800 no problemo. Peak power at 6200.
Sounds knarly until you add in the CI. I think it will be ok. What the hell if it doesn't the rpm I'll speed up to 90 or drop into 5th @ .82

Agreed.

I wouldn't take Dove heads even if they were given to me.

If you like FEs check out Jay Browns site. He won drag week a couple times with some FEs.

http://fepower.net/simplemachinesfor...p?topic=354.90

Almost 900hp out of a NA 519 cammer. that is serious. His 545 Highriser will be close to 1000hp NA

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

I think cammers are my favorite motor. Along with a few other million folks, huh?

I'd put one in one that looks like this.

Jay put his in this boat. http://fepower.net/Drag%20Week/dw09.html Doesn't look like a 9 sec street car.

Oh I know.

Side note: tough enough trying to find pics of one, much less buy one.

You may have seen that crappy shell that sold for over $100K?

Not many left out of the 50 NHRA factory racers.

I got a progress picture today that really has me motivated.

For anyone who likes the old school stuff here is the dual four intake I bought to try out.

Rob,

It was nice meeting you at SEMA and fun walking around with you guys! I hope to see your ride at a few events and compare the size of our two fords.

So I was daydreaming about doing a PT al big block 69 Torino....
Pretty much how you are doing it!

AMAZING

What's the advantageof a Tunel Ram head vs an aftermarket medium riser AL head?

Also, Do you feel the Pond Block is better than the Genesis Block?
Both look pretty freaking kick ass

mmm can't think of anything else to say other than Cool!

Hey thanks a lot.

As far as the TunnelPort heads I'll tell you tomorrow night after I get off the dyno if they have and advantage over Medium risers.

From a $$ perspective call Blair Patrick and have him do you a set of Edelbrocks. Edelbrock sells a pro-port version which is basically a blank slate for a guy to cut his won ports. Blair has a couple of CNC ports that make some big hp.

I don't think you can get a Genisis block right now. There is some BS going on with the company so it is my understanding it's Pond or Shelby if you want a block. The Pond block is a better piece than the Genisis anyway.
