If I was going to buy another Mustang I would save 30K and buy the Boss. The boss is plenty fast for the street and just a better all around car.
The proof was when Top Gear USA tracked it against the Roush supercharged Mustang and the Boss was faster. Since the Boss can be purchased for under sticker it might be a "Best Buy" as far as new cars go.

I have had fast I would rather have a cool PT car which is street friendly and motor on.

Boss Laguna Seca model is all you need. I have the same sickness as most on this site so I'm spending more on a Torino than the cost of the GT500....

Did I just admit that? I hope my wife doesn't look at this thread...

Most powerful production V8 in history? Did'nt the 69 ZL-1 in the Camaros and the 2 Vettes produce over 600hp WITHOUT a supercharger and also with pushrods? Granted they could'nt handle worth a dam and got crappy mileage, I think Ford needs to retract that statement.

Did they produce over 662? If not why would they retract it? Were COPO cars really production cars?

In the end it just means Chevy has to up the hp of the new Vette so even if your a Chevy guy its not a bad thing.

The highest published horsepower figure by Chevrolet back in the musclecar heyday was 450 (a few C2 427 Corvettes and the '70 454 LS-6 Chevelle SS) which was higher than any other manufacturer in that era, to the best of my recollection.

Ok well now we are talking production numbers, maybe I should retract my statement. I'm one of those rare Mopar guys that thinks the HEMI is way overrated. Good motor but ridiculously overpriced. I give respect where its due and Ford has definitly upped its game.

Yeah but advertised HP vs crank HP were way off. Manufacturers lied to the insurance companies not to mention the opposition on what was really under the hood. 426 HEMI with 425HP...ha!! An LS6 with 450HP...yeah right. Old timers will tell you this. Man the 60's were great and I was born too late!!
