Shocked... Seemed like such a happy outgoing guy. You just never know what's going on inside

I think going from such an intense all consuming life to being out of the spot light and leading a " mundane" day to day life is too much for some of these guys

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.

Totally agree 1000%!! I think after they no longer scream your name and there is no more glitz and glamour, many of them cannot cope. It's a reality check and is hurtful when they're out in the public and a kid 15 years old and majority of the ladies probably doesn't recognize them.

RIP Junior

This happened with 3 hockey enforcers just last year. Not sure what's going on with some of these athletes but I hope they figure it out.
Could be depression, could be the pain of not being in the spotlight after so many adrenalin filled years. Could also be CTE - chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Same thing as Dave Duerson had. Too many hits to the head.

And most importantly as Ned said, you never really know what goes on inside someone's head.

RIP Jr.

RIP Jr.
A great football player and a great person. It was sad watching his family on tv today.
