Default A 67 Pro Touring Mustang (Thunder) from West Coast of Canada

My buddy Rybar, told me about this site, so I thought I would drop in and say hi.

My car is a 1967 Shelby tribute car. It's highly modified, but done in a stealthy way, so it appears very much like it should have looked, back in the day.

It was recently featured in Street Legal TV, and Stang TV

This car is no trailer queen, or garage queen. It gets driven a lot!

Unfortunately the engine, looks like it got hurt, at a recent track day. Due to an upgraded rear suspension, and wider front tires, and slightly better driving (by me) I think the engine got starved of oil for a minute during a high g corner.

Hoping the engine didn't get hurt too bad.

A couple pics, for now;

I'll do an ongoing build thread, soon.
Post track inspection found a coolant leak and bearing material and metal shavings in the oil filter.
I have to drop the oil pan, and check it out.

Welcome Doug! Glad you just joined the best site!

This car is awesome, can't wait to cruise with you once you get the motor repaired.

Thanks very much for the kind welcome, guys.

I've started a project thread now.

Basically looking at changing out the standard 428 block for the updated 427 FE block, with the race proven side oiler design.

I look forward to sharing the ongoing saga, of this challenging build.

I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye out for your build thread. What a beautiful example of my favorite Mustang body style!
