Are the under console and glovebox door vents operational in this car?

Does your Firebird dash plastic piece set that is in the lower area have the AC vents already (like in the picture above, under the steering wheel)? I can't tell from your pictures, but I'm guessing no? Adding those would give you a second pair of vents at least, and lower instead of just the uppers which you have now.

I agree that having some air flow in the middle of the car would be helpful too though.

No. But they should be easy enough to get... not sure about finding the duct work for behind them though. I'm trying to source the ducts for the left and right vents already as they are MIA.

The Gen IV VA AC has 6 ports for AC. Just trying to utilize as many as possible since I live in Florida now.

I bought a set of those lower dash pieces from eBay a couple of years ago for not too much money. You can dye them easily if you don't find your preferred color.

I don't remember exactly what the shape of the back of those vents is, whether it's rectangular like the little vent, or transitions to a square, but you should be able to connect the VIA flexible duct to it without a lot of trouble. I used some stretchy-rubbery tape (not duct tape exactly, but something similar) on my second gen that I built before. It will all be hidden, so looks aren't critical here. You can see a rough picture here:

I do recall wrapping after reading that again that I wrapped the outside with duct tape to keep eveything from coming undone. Maybe that will help. These weren't round to rectangular connections, but the idea is similar.

Good luck! Living in Texas, I understand the need...

The under dash and glove box vents are not operational. It is a custom built piece and i started with a 69 Camaro center dash vent. I find it interesting no one has asked us yet if it came from the factory like that.

There is not 6 vents, there is 4 dash vents and 2 defroster vents

Very cool Mike! With 4 dash vents I think it will be easier to go with my two bullet vents in the map pocket idea with the D-PIC or clock in the middle.
