I disagree with the notion that the people of this country have lost their morals and values. I've found that if you give people a chance, most are good. Unfortunately, with modern times there are to many outlets for negative news to be shoe horned into your brain. We all need to spend a little more time concentrating on improving our ourselves and our own lives, not worrying about somebody on welfare. There ain't a damn thing I can do about it and I wouldn't want to trade them places.

Greg, you just don't seem this unaware. What's up?

we need to make some changes to our government. If we want to make the government better than we need a damn reorg.
We elected 2 dead people into office. This is crazy. Florida Democrat Earl K. Wood and Alabama Republican Charles Beasley. Here is what really pisses me off.
Taken from article.
"Wood died on Oct. 15 from natural causes at age 96, during his campaign for a 12th term as Orange County Tax Collector in Orlando, Fla.

Criticized for rarely coming into the office while collecting a $150,000 salary and $90,000 pension.

Wood's wide name recognition after almost half a century in office scared off several serious contenders. His name remained on the ballot and he took 56 percent of the votes to 44 percent for a Republican who promised to eliminate the office altogether if elected.

Are you f-ing kidding me. A salary and a pension. Thats crazy.
We need term limits and You should be out at 65.

Holy $%#..... Great thread! Really wish there was a way to "like" the comments, there are many, many good ones.

My 12 year old son actually broke down and cried...it really struck me. I have always said to him, good ideas come from both sides and have let him make up his own mind, but he sees the way things are going.

One thing I love doing with Obama backers when a political conversation is going nowhere, I ask: "With a straight face, tell me, would you rather have Obama or Romney balance your checkbook?" Works EVERY time, they just laugh it off because they cannot defend it.

The future scares me. So much has changed in the last 4 years, and not for the better.

My company BC/BS healthcare double from last year to this year. I guess the increase is to buy coverage for another family.

The makers will have more taken while the takers will make more. Exactly what obummer wants so that the takers will be more dependent on government
