Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.

Hey it's bigger than my car and different. What's not to like

Dave already ratted me out. I have a Corvette hidden in the garage. Brett was by the other day and I wouldn't even open the garage door.

Now that I've hijacked his thread I feel good about 2013.

Now Casey why did you take the AC out of the Savage Elephant? Nothing better in a daily driver than AC.

I'm a young, Most of what i know is self taught i feel i have an excellent start, the money situation is getting a little better as i just picked up few more parts, the AC compressor was shot so ill be buying a factory looking replacement or a Chevelle vintage air setup for the car, Hoping to get the heat fixed soon it has a couple electrical issues with not getting power to the heater components. Im stickin with the old gal its a low miles car but the last 2 owners didn't take too good care of her, I actually visited the man who bought it new in 1969 hes 87 now and he told me he shouldn't have let it go in the late 80's.

Cool!

If I am ever rich and famous (I gave up on good looking years ago), I want to build a '66 Pontiac 2+2 (or some other GM full size fastback). I'm thinking Roadster Shop IRS frame, LS engine with a 6-speed... Ah, so nice to dream!

Happy New Year!
Bill

Bitch'n' car.... Yeah they're boats - but they're kool boats.

They should have come standard with a big block! They got the same milage with a small block - so what the heck!

Biggest performance gain you could probably do is swap in some bungholio gears... get some 3:55's or something in there.

My guess is you're running a 2:73 or something horrible like that.

Jack it up --- block it --- mark a point on the tire pointing at the ground.... put a mark on the driveline and have someone slowly spin the tire ONE rotation and count the turns on the driveline. That will get you pretty dang close to knowing what you have. Probably a 10 bolt rear end with an open (the famous Dr Renner one ledger).

the first owner wanted the ls-5 390hp 454 but his wife talked him into the l-48 which is the 300hp 350. It has factory heavy duty suspension 12- bolt rear and did have 2.73's but has 3.08's now Shes still a one legger when i get the BBC finished ill put in 3.73's or 4.11's with a LSD ..............Bill that seem like it would be a hell of a car you gotta dream before they can come true, happy new years to you too

I got rid of the poorly fabbed 2 inch exhaust with turbo mufflers and switched to a 2.5 inch with Flowmaster super 44's so far it sounds amazing and there is a slight seat of the pants penformance gain so to speak i will try to have a video up soon. my next most-likely change will be to go to a slightly lower rear gear, 3.42's or 3.55's
