Hi Mark,

Why do you need shorties to run the 2002 motor mounts vs aftermarket urethane ones? Shouldn't the urethane mounts just be a direct replacement for the OEM ones?

The DSE sub frame uses 1967-9 Camaro style mounts and adaptors to put a LS into their frame. To use the direct mount LS style 2002 engine mounts we had to make new frame mounts. The shorty headers clear all the relocated OEM engine mount. DSE set up is designed to use their headers and engine mounts. Their system works great, but I wanted a differnt set up for more room and better N&V.

Awesome work and engineering. And Thanks for sharing your ideas. Mark. Maybe you can get ideas about the paint to the XV from this video Inside Koenigsegg when Christian explain the paint job on their carbon cars. Or search Agera Hundra. It Looks beautiful with its golden stripes.

Nice video!! That's a nice car for sure

It's interesting how talks about what the paint weighs, when I did my buds NMCA 10" tire car a few years ago he wanted me to make sure that the primer and paint and clear coat didn't weigh to much these speed guys are crazy! Not saying I don't get it because I do, I just hope I never start to think how much can I save if I only put two coats of clear on

Thanks Mark, but could you not have run rubber SBC mounts to achieve your NVH goals? My understanding is that SBC mounts are available in many different compounds nowadays, which may have further helped with your NVH tuning.
