The shop that painted my 69 camaro had a Willys with blown hemi in it. It wasn't a 426, but one of the smaller hemi's. I sat in the car and my painter fired it up when I was sitting in it. Sitting in that thing with the whine of the blower and the idle hunting up and down was awesome. I love camaros, but a blown Willys is a whole different level of cool.

I have too many as well to limit it to just two. But here's a few on my list in no particular order.

1. 69 Camaro (go figure)
2. 70 Camaro Split Bumper
3. 56 Chevy
4. 70 Cuda
5. 70 Chevelle Convertible

70 Chevelle - light suspension mods, wheels an stance, good brakes, big block power and Steve's paddle shifter. Booming stereo would be a must.

RCR SLC - 1:4 power to weight ratio. Enough said.

I have been "building" one in my head recently.

1974 Firebird
'70-'73 nose
'76 Formula hood
'78-'81 T-tops
4 wheel independent suspension C4? C5?
6-speed manual
LS-something (a good 400-500hp)
A/C-PS-Tilt/Tele
BMW or Corvette sport seats
Exterior: Grigio Ferro (kind of a steel grey)
Interior: Some sort of saddle
17" or 18" versions of the Trans Am "Turbo" wheel

Ah, to dream...

I'd like to do a 1940 Buick coupe some day. Get it sitting right on an aftermarket chassis and do a little clean up on the body. Drop in a FI 455 with a gearvendors and hit the road.

As far as muscle cars, I'm diggin Streetkings red Firebird. Not sure what it is about the 2nd gens, they just look ready for battle!

I never thought so many people would like the idea of a Willys PT style.

No 4 wheel drive either -- you'd have to have it look like a mudder --- there's NO room - as in ZERO in the nose of a Willys... Unless you're planning on driving from the back seat.
Maybe mid or rear engine is what I was thinking.

One day someone will build it...
