Off the shelf wheels over ls brakes on a 69 camaro?

98-02 LS1 F-body brakes fit inside most off the shelf 17" and larger wheels...and some 16's, but 16" tire selection is poor and it sounds like you intend to go larger anyway, not smaller. The rear brakes don't tend to be an issue and the front brakes run a substantially smaller diameter and deeper offset rotor than a comparable C5/C6 kit, so even the most problematic wheels with respect to brake fitment (A/R TTII's) fit.

You shouldn't have any issues with the Boss wheels, 338, 225, or otherwise.
