Event #2 debrief:
Mission: Ohio Musclecar Challenge
Location: Pittsburg International Raceway Complex
Results: Complete success in my mind. We did the 1.6 mile course on Friday evening (open track practice run) and then the event on Saturday. Sunday was the autocross.

I got just under 100 miles on the big track between the two sessions!!! 100 miles at wide open and then hard on the brakes then the gas, over and over This is a true test of man and machine. Eventually, the man gave in. The machine was fine...me, whipped out. Still sore today
Three sessions in a row, my Dakota Digital dash trapped 121mph as top speed.
Results showed me in 17th but with 3 cars ahead of me that were ineligible (tire compound or sponsors).

On the autocross I think I fared better, its more of my "happy place", at least comfort level anyway. The car felt great except for lack of grip, rear grip especially. The rear tires are around 5+ years old . Tomorrow, there will be a fix for that on the front porch

I was hanging with Farrington until the last session. While everyone else went and ran four more runs with little to no time improvement, Tom goes out and takes almost a second off his best! Next time Farrington, next time
Results show me in 9th with 2 cars ahead of me ineligible. Not too shabby for the guy with the narrowest front tires there. Oh, and we got 16 runs in too. Great way to celebrate my birthday.

Anyone on the fence about going to these kind of events needs to just do it. I guarantee it won't be your last. If you can't come with a car, come to spectate. Hang around and meet everyone. The people are the best part.

I'll put some photos up later...waitin on photobucket

Car looks good out there.

I had a blast chasing you down in the corners.

Thanks Dave, appreciate it. I know it's not for everyone, but I'm really enjoying it. Wheels and brakes are off tonight for a set of pads and new Rivals. Can't wait to feel the difference.

Looks great!

You know that if your wing windows were shut you would've been .68 seconds faster

Aaron

I was jealous when you got it started and of your patina paint.

But now Looks like you are having a blast. The hard work is paying off.
