I loved that S63! Still the bad-nastiest sedan I've ever been in!
Sounds like I need to plan another "work trip" to the great northwet!
Edit: Or to Austin! LOL

I loved the S63 despite SW trying to talk me out of it!!!
AND I can tell you that SW's current Cadillac is BAD ASS TO THE BONE.

Not sure if this is true, but it seems the pro-touring movement may have been influenced a lot from the whole AMG concept of modding stock non-performance vehicles and turning them into cars that do a lot of things really well and also look great.
But the late model 6.2L 4cammer V8 equipped AMG's still sound nastier than most PT cars IMO.

When I was looking for exhaust for my Firebird, I wanted to find one that sounded exactly like my C63! I didn't, and that's ok, but I do love that sound... Fun to drive that car everyday!

My guess is AMG has a department devoted to getting the sounds just right. Ferrari has a department like that… dedicated to making sure a Ferrari sounds like a Ferrari.
The AMG is subtle around town and on the hiway - right until you make it bark like a bad dog…. but it's never intrusive or harsh or harmoniciky in the cabin.
If I wasn't moving and hadn't bought a dog I love more than cars -- I'd still have it "just because". Like Stuart said --- it's bad ass fast. And it's silky smooth comfort all rolled into one big ass old farts car. My friends begged me to bring the "S" if we were going somewhere. Funny - they all wanted to get in the back!! Only car I've ever had that was like that… nobody ever fought to ride up front.
