Yes, most of us do. Very few fiberglass or above ground pools around here.
Mines a foot thick of gunite, iirc, the rebar is 12" on cl and 3/8 rebar i think. Almost no pools were damaged in Loma Preita 25 years ago. Our water in the soil will push em up and crack them if emptied at the wrong time of year, i've seen that happen quite a bit.
In an earthquake the whole earth moves, so the energy is dispersed and not so isolated at the pools. But if we get one big enough, and were waaaay overdue, there will definately be some broken gunite....pretty fascinating though.
