Sounds like you have a pretty potent setup with suspension and sticky tires. Should be fun dialing it in with that power.

Sorry Bryan. Try again.
My Nascar-top-end motor was "detuned" (i.e. stroked) to bring the power range down to around 7000 rpm for durability. It has a mild cam in it for valvetrain longevity. It has 496 ft lbs at 3900 (lowest the dyno operator started it at) and peaks at 640 ft lbs at 5900 and 795 hp at 7200.
This ain't no peaky Cup motor and these numbers were no accident. They were engineered.... for pro touring.

Apparently I missed the dyno sheet.  7200 still isn't exactly the most street friendly RPM.

When you pull out a great sounding and rev happy 377, you've got to put something else in its place that also sounds great. I'd save Dave nailed it.

7200 rpms,,Oh my',,,',,,,woooooo hooooo I won't make any power past 6200,,,but my butt should be pasted to the seat already,,and puckered,,LOL

6200...7200.... what matters more is quality parts and precision machine work and assembly by someone who knows what heck they are doing.

Well it's butler Pontiac who is building it,,so it should be fine....And for as much as it is costing me it better have the good stuff.
