Mark Stielow was asked why he hasn't done an IRS car and voiced his concerns about breakage.
https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...irs#post423469 A year ago I was very interested in doing a Corvette transaxle. I was a bit concerned about the serviceability of the C6 system, the amount of work to convert the Torque tube and install it in an early Camaro, also to change a clutch, you have to drop out the whole rear suspension with torque tube. Not something you could do trackside. Once I saw the Art Morrison system I figured it was the next best thing, plus every component is 2x stronger, plus easier to do a Clutch change, easier to install. The C6 IRS is still a great idea I think, with bit better rear weight bias.
