Trouble maker!! Don't you have a road trip to write about... :>)

<Rustling around in his bag> Nothing really has changed that much.

November was a busy month with SEMA -- My 35th Anniversary -- and TurkeyDay travels etc.

But I did start to piece together something I've always wanted in my sheds - a dirty room vacuum system for the grinding and dirt making area. This is 6" "Nordfab" industrial piping -- that goes up thru the concrete floor and connects to a big ass dust collector that is remote controlled.

I had to stop and order another $3K worth of pipe and fittings when my design idea got "added to". I needed some T's -- and more reducers etc. They were ordered last week and should arrive shortly. Nordfab has a great website and you can order this stuff directly from them. I decided in the interest of safety that I should include their spark arrestor and I wanted to add a floor sweep and on and on. WTF - go big or go home! LOL

Lots of parts and pieces -- but like everything I do -- not always the RIGHT parts and pieces to complete the job!!

PS --- I HATE the painted floors!! Drop one thing - that's a week looking around trying to find it. UGH!!

Since I live high in the mountains and it gets REALLY cold here -- it was very nice to be able to use my indoor mixing valve to have warm water and be able to wash the Jeep INDOORS! There is a big ass drain (more for snow melting off vehicles) in the floor.... works like a charm!!! I'm so glad I had the plumber put this in.

I'd also ordered a few more 1 ton 30' chain hoists for making better use of the "free" sky in the old shed! The stuff I don't use often is being hung up there.

Sorry, the new job does not take up all my time here in the cube farm like my old one. Was scrolling down on Lat-G to the for sale section and noticed there was no update here.

I love how you have been able to section off and add the vacuum system. I wish I had that in my little garage for when I am working on the Chevelle. Would definitely keep other parts cleaner. An love the fact that you can wash the Jeep inside. I'm sure that is the bomb right there.

As always, I'm envious.

The floor sweep was a good move.......they are without a doubt the best part of the central vac system in my house.

I'm not ready yet -- and not sure what my next project will be or if there will even be one... but I'm enjoying putting this dump together a little bit here and a little bit there. I am looking around and thinking to myself -- WOW! This is the best place I've ever had -- yet I have nothing going on. (to those that don't understand/know me - this is my own personal shop - I don't do anything commercially).

I've skied twice so far --- we had a great start - then it got warm and it's been melting during the day and freezing up at night - makes for hard icy base just under the 2" of groomed corduroy the machines make. That's all gone after two runs and you're down to the ice. We need some fresh snow for sure --- and hell yes we need company!! Will I see you at GNRS??

hmmm Greg, maybe you should consider going into production, my car can be your first victim.... would hate to have that beautiful shop sitting all empty and no projects going on inside it! Heck maybe I should move there and we could partner up. this farming thing is getting old.
ps. when we are on road trips in the rig I could drive it for you!

Hmmmmmm..... Here's the thing. For 20 some odd years I've gotten up every morning and asked myself "what do I want to do today" -- and the answer was always the same "whatever I feel like".

That would NOT include having to deal with customers, or deadlines, or someone else's hopes and dreams! LOL
