Some shade of purple is on the "maybe" list... That's the issue... The list is still long...

Wow, haven't seen this thread in a while. Nice cowl screens Ned. I planned on the same thing but solid aluminum (vintage air doesn't need the vent area )

Time for an update..... the car is moving along... I just never get around to posting pix etc...

So.... after my original paint plan fell through, I searched long and hard in CA for someone to paint my car....someone I could trust...and someone I can afford. In CA the average shop rate is hovering around $75/hr, so add materials and there was basically no way I was going to get above average work for under $30k

So after talking to a lot of shops, I decided to haul my car all the way to Mortensens Customs in Coer d'Alene ID....yes Idaho.... the same shop that painted Bob Braga's car...... It made me real nervous to have the car that far away from home, but even with the hassle of travel and the extra cost to get the car back and forth, the "bang for the buck" factor just made it the right choice....so off we went on a road trip...

Ok...so the project has taken alittle longer than expected....so?...my kid has grown just a tad over that period...so?

I have always been partial to dark green metallic. Mine is WA9529... but I also like the new Limerock Green, which is an uncommon new color on the C7. I would describe mine as "Forest Green" where I would call the Limerock more a "Emerald Green".

But that is me, I like dark greens...
