Here's their generic statement:

To sell a vehicle at Barrett-Jackson, the consignor is responsible for an entry fee as well as a seller's commission percentage of the hammer price for No Reserve consignments and Reserve consignments. The entry fee is determined by day and time of your lot entry and includes tent space. Payment of fees without a signed contract does not constitute a consignment agreement.

saw that pratt sold 40.4 million dollars worth of cars and etc. Wow!! He did better than i thought he would. wonder if he got a sweetheart deal on commissions?

Considering the sheer dollar quantity of his spend over the years, I would be surprised if he (and some of his peers) paid full tilt. I can only guess, but I would think there is a volume discount when you spend what some of them do year after year.
Then, on the other hand, when you have THAT much money, it might be considered gauche to quibble over the fees.

Hammer price $320K -- 10% for buyers commission is $32K -- added together it's $352K

Thats what i thought , i was confused at the quote of 379k$ that someone quoted earlier but maybe it wasnt in reference to this sale

Yeah - I saw that earlier. It was wrong. I think it's better to check facts before people post... especially when it's so easy. All someone has to do is got straight to BJ website and look up the car in question.

I was surprised to see so many reserve cars. I thought Craig had done away with that on all but his own cars....

And since GW is clarifying for us kids at home... BJ collects 10% from the buyer and 10% from the seller on the hammer price, correct? So the auction makes 20% on every sale.
