Vince, the best looking exhaust tips on a PT car are the ones you cannot see, IMO.
On my 67 velle I would not want these tips blocking the view of my 295 tires which look pretty mean.

Yeah mixed feelings that's why we put it out for ideas. One other thing to note is the bumper will be sanded and painted body color. so I believe it will flow better.

I like to tip to go past 1/8" and flush cut with the edge whether it be the bumper or quarter panel.

We wanted to try something different and mix it up a bit. I may try it anyways as we have a spare bumper to cut up.

Looking at the picture I think it maybe too large. Might split it down the middle and take a bit out of it then contour with the curve. We will see.
