I was listening to "Outshined" the other day and the first thing that came to my mind was your car. The second thing was how I always used to play this game called Road Rash on Sony PlayStation back in the day and the soundtrack had Outshined and Rusty Cage on it. Those were the days.

I'm ok with that being a sign of good things to come.

Trying to get back to that point where you make up the ground you lost. The ole 1 step forward 2 steps back deal.

I don't see where I said that.

But that also doesn't mean it isn't true!

Aw heck the car was gonna get blown up at some point....

Stay strong DG.

Don't want Lil Flash to see pain in your eyes...

....when 'BMF' is spoken of in his presence.

^^^ This... The whole mockup/concept was a little hard for me to embrace but your whole car is extreme from my perspective in the peanut gallery. It would be a real challenge to pursue not having some concept of the sound to expect. I am sure you have considered plenty, but what recourse will you have if it is too loud for some of the tracks out there once completed, other than not go to those facilities.

The sound situation has been part of the planning from the beginning. Fist, the drivers side exit due to the location of most if not all of the local tracks' sound meters (as opposed to most race cars where the rocker exits on the passenger side only).

And the custom removable box muffler made by Rob @ No Limit (which surely appears to be a very well made cool piece at a very fair price) was great in theory. I think it would have worked had Fab5.3 not sized it to fit in the majority of the space allowed. There was just not enough area around the big box (less than an inch everywhere I could see) for airflow and any cooling assistance we thought. So CorteX and I agreed on scrapping that piece unfortunately.

So I ordered up 2 more smaller mufflers the other day to hopefully go in tandem with my other 2 small bullet mufflers and we'll start there. If we have to add a larger case or do something about that later, it won't be the largest project ever and access is relatively easy where this is happening.

Collector transitions are finished

And I did take delivery of some cool parts lately which always feels kinda good.

Wow. I feel a bit honored to have elicited a response that resembles an actual progress update with multiple photographs.... That's pretty monumental stuff in a thread such as BMF.

NOW, in the other spirit of the thread... That's a nice measure of commitment DG, being that tires are date coded.

That has to be one of the most wicked reinforced looking clutch plates I have ever seen. What's the story there? Definitely not standard issue right?

I've been rereading some of this build(?) trying to figure out what's really going on...
It looks like CorteX has the suspension just about wrapped up and some other fab is happening with exhaust and what not.
Motor/drivetrain ready?
Body looks ready other than flares and exhaust trim.
Seats in
Babies born and at least crawling around, congratulations by the way. Kids are an eye opener!
Tires, clutch.....I've read a couple times that you've said it'll be done when it's done but it's gotta be getting close!
